Racines Sanford & Benedict Pinot Noir 2018
Availability: 98 in stock
Bright, translucent and exquisitely layered, the Sanford & Benedict is magical. All the elements come together in the glass. The purity of the flavors is striking, but everything about the 2018 works. Sweet red berry fruit, mint, spice, blood orange and rose petal all develop with a bit of air, but more than anything else, it is the wine’s balance that is so compelling.
Racines is a collaboration between two classic houses from France, led by vignerons Étienne de Montille and Rodolphe Péters, and Santa Barbara’s own Justin Willett, owner and winemaker at Tyler Winery.
The project is the first venture for Étienne and Rodolphe beyond France and represents the coming together of all that is wonderful about Burgundy, Champagne and California.
These wines confirm something many have long suspected: that if you are looking to make terroir driven, elegant, balanced wines in the new world, then Santa Rita Hills is the place.
Wine Central Coast California
San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge rises to greet you at the top of our Central Coast. Over the course of the next 500 kilometers (300 miles), the weather transitions from moody to mild, which makes for excellent diversity in both wine and surf.
Central Coast Wine Grapes
The Central Coast wine Grapes here are among the oldest in the state, planted by Franciscan monks as they made their way north on El Camino Real (“the royal road”, now Highway 101) in the late 1700s.https://discovercaliforniawines.com/discover-california/central-coast/
