Prophets Rock Home Pinot Noir

A real old-world-meets-new here, from wonderful Central Otago! The Home PN has been one of the most consistently highest rated PNs from the region since its first release. No wonder - winemaker Paul Pujol worked in Chambolle-Musigny, Burgundy, as well as across Central Otago before setting up his own winery! Structured, savoury, and a killer in the cellar, it’s got loads of complex dark plum notes, with some ironstone and terrific depth, too.

If he loves… Bordeaux

Te Mata Estate Coleraine Cabernet Merlot

Te Mata Estate’s Coleraine Cab Merlot is a CLASSIC. It’s made in the traditional Bordeaux blend style of Cab Sauv, Merlot, and Cab Franc - and this is a wine that’s in for the long haul. We reckon you could age it up for up to 15 years at least! It’s concentrated, poised, and packed full of wild strawberry and black cherry fruit notes. Jancis Robinson’s called it one of New Zealand’s national treasures, so it’s got the credentials to add the wow factor to your gift, too.

If he loves… punchy reds

Craggy Range Gimblett Gravels Syrah

What Bordeaux and Burgundy are to France, Gimblett Gravels is to New Zealand. Terroir’s a big focus here - and for good reason; the wines from this region are not only the country’s most famous, but also some of their best. One of our faves is the Craggy Range Gimblett Gravels Syrah; full of graphite, black pepper and succulent fruit flavours, it’s ASTOUNDINGLY good value. Not only that, it’s scooped up heaps of awards along the way. Present = sorted.
