Grüner Veltliner Wine
Grüner Veltliner is a green, mid-ripening Austrian grape variety that dates back to Roman times. Despite the close resemblance, we don’t think the grape has any connection to other Veltliner grapes like Roter Veltliner and Frühroter Veltliner. A classic Grüner gives you lemon peel and grapefruit aromas, complemented by stone fruit and the variety’s trademark hint of white pepper. A bigger Grüner combines high acidity with a full body, making it an exotic alternative to Chardonnay. You can pair this versatile variety with almost anything, or just sip it as you stare at the sunset (works just as well in front of the telly).
