A free fun-filled evening where the General Manager of Akarua Winery will be running us through a tasting of 5 of their exquisite selection

We know it, you know it. The Akarua Brut (sparkling for those in the know) is one of the best on the block and almighty fine for any occasion. We’re lucky to have the lovely Kathryn Petit and Zoe Ladyman who are flying all the way from down under, with a suitcase packed full of Akarua that will surely satisfy everyone’s taste buds. Kathryn, General Manager and their Domestic and International sales manager, Zoe bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge bringing their fine selves to Brixton, for one night only!

They both know their stuff, so who better to introduce you to these glorious wines? No one!

Established in 1996, Akarua sits on the most desirable and picturesque hills of Bannockburn, Central Otago. The 50 hectare single estate vineyard is dedicated to Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. A small vintage was produced in 1999 from the new Akarua winery and over time as vine age increased along with knowledge of the site, quality has been on the rise year by year. Since Akarua Pinot Noir’s first trophy awarded in 2002 by Air New Zealand Wine Awards, a Trophy has been awarded for each vintage since 2009 to date, proving the continuing consistency and quality of their flagship pinot noir.

You know the drill, first in first served. Get there at 5.30pm to ensure your name’s on the list, kick off at 6pm and we will have a selection of the Akarua range for you to get your hands on after!
