Free Wine Tasting - New Zealand Producer Te Awa Left Field Wines

May is shaping up to be a popular month for wine tastings here at The New Zealand Cellar, with confirmation just in that we will be welcoming back Richard Painter from Left Field wines on Thursday 23rd.

Richard is the winemaker at Left Field vineyards and was crowned NZ Winemaker of the year in 2018. Over multiple vintages both in New Zealand and Internationally, Richard has fallen in love with producing full-bodied red wines, which we get the pleasure of enjoying with his Leftfield range.

We are thrilled to have him back in store to showcase some of our all-time favourite drops. The Left Field range of wines embody a whimsical approach to exploration, creativity and imagination. It is the birthplace of the unexpected, the weird and the wonderful, with each wine having a unique character and story.

Richard himself says “The best thing about being the winemaker for Left Field is that I can spread my wings playing around with different regions and varieties”

The drill is simple, 5.30pm arrival for a 6.00pm start - from there the magic will follow!

Please ensure you arrive as close to 6pm as possible to get your name ticked off and applied to one of the 3 tasting sessions we will run between 6pm - 8pm. There are plenty of street food vendors and bars at Pop Brixton (however we’d prefer you to have a drink at ours) In case you have some time to kill before your allocated session. Remember these events are FREE and we encourage you to purchase a bottle as a small token of your appreciation for us putting these events on
