Sauvignon Blanc Day Showcase!

Whose vine is it Anyway 1

Mel Brown hosts Specialist Cellars’ 2021 Sauvignon Showcase, in celebration of International Sauvignon Blanc Day. Joined by Dog Point Vineyard, Framingham, Seresin and Craggy Range. The Vintners include Murray, Brownie, Tamra and Julian who will tackle a series of quick fire questions to with the ultimate bragging rights of being our very own Sauvignon Warrior. Only one contestant (aka each vintner) can answer at a time, culminating in a final quick draw round.

New Zealand happily landed on a global stage thanks to their Sauvignon production, no more than 20 years ago, the history only really dates back to the early 90’s on a commercial scale. This grape catapulted NZ to fame and has never looked back. The cool climate, fertile soils and youthful vines coupled with a plethora of driven, passionate winery teams and a hugely dedicated industry marks for a very special reputation this grape and wine now commands due to its quick success. Tonight we want to celebrate the winemakers, their knowledge and expertise by exposing their inner Sauvignon warrior and why New Zealand should be held accountable (and rightly so) for producing some of the best Sauvignon in the world, rivalling that of Sancerre and beyond.

Lets put their Sauvignon knowledge to the test.

Tune in on Wednesday 28th of April at 6:30pm. We’ll send you a link to join our Google hangout before the event begins.
